Hi and thanks for visiting my website – my name is Matthew Cooper and I’m a BAFTA shortlisted, and Royal Television Society nominated script writer for hire and UK script consultant.
I have a long history in broadcast TV, dating back to the 1990s – my first short film – ‘Family Style’ – which starred a then unknown actor called ‘Ewan McGregor’ was broadcast in CH4 in the 1994. From there, I joined the writing team of Emmerdale (their youngest ever core team writer) – I then moved onto Eastenders (writing the original episode where ‘Alfie’ told ‘Kat’ he loved her).
I was part of the team revamped Hollyoaks in the mid ’00s – and introduced the McQueen girls, and gangster Warren Fox – during my time on Hollyoaks the viewing figures tripled.
I’ve worked as s scriptwriter on produced and theatrically released feature films, I sold a screenplay to Miramax at age 21 – and later had a film optioned by a major US studio. As a writer and director, I’ve completed a series of low budget horror movies based on H.P. Lovecraft stories that have developed a cult following online.
Creative scripts for corporate video
On top of all of this – I’m the go to scriptwriter for hire for creative corporate videos.
I can deliver comedy and drama to even the most basic internal video, training videos or HR video.
My past work as a corporate scriptwriter included writing and story lining a ten part – feature length internal corporate TV show for big blue chip brands – which acts as a vital training tool – as well as being funny and entertaining – the trailer for this hugely ambitious show is below.
Comedy and drama script writer for corporate video
So, if you’re making a corporate videos, or internal videos that need to be creative – funny and dramatic – I’m the best on the market (trust me, I’m a script doctor).
I’m experienced working for agencies and client side too – and I’m happy to assist agencies managing clients, or pitching.
