My name is Matthew Cooper; I’m an award winning British screenwriter with credits on all the main UK broadcast networks. I’m available at the moment as a script writer for hire and UK script consultant for clients across the world, but focussing specifically on the UK and the USA.
As a scriptwriter and screenwriter I’ve won various awards and been nominated for many others.
I’ve been BAFTA shortlisted twice.
I was nominated as Best Network Newcomer by the Royal Television Society for my work on Emmerdale.
I was winner of the first ever Lloyds Bank Channel Four Film Challenge in the UK, as well as the Oscar Moore Screenwriting Prize sponsored by the Guardian newspaper and I’ve been a finalist in various BBC competitions.
