Hey, I get asked this so often.
You’ve just written your first or second screenplay, and you’re keen to get the views of a professional script writer, script consultant or at least someone in the industry who actually knows what they’re doing. And who will take the time to read your script and give you a professional opinion, as well as some constrictive feedback if needed.
Relax, you’re in the right place.
My name is Matthew Cooper I’m a a script writer for hire, UK Script editor and UK script consultant. I’ve been BAFTA shortlisted, and worked as pro script writer for nearly 30 years. Here’s some of my broadcast credits on the IMDb.
So, first off, you know who I am, I’m not some faceless industrial script reader – your script, will be read by me, and I’ll write the report too.
My script reports and coverage are some of the most in-depth in the industry so I’ve been told (often over 20 pages of analysis and suggestions).
As well as reading, evaluating and offering a professional opinion on your script, I’ll also give you pretty good advice on industry prospects – and even career advice for script writers.
Okay, so, how much do I charge to read and evaluate your script?
Prices are as follows:
- Short film script report £50
- TV drama up to one hour script report £80
- Feature film script report £120
Turnaround time on the reports is usually around two weeks (depending on my own workload as a script writer).
