As a UK script consultant I do offer a script development service. The first part of the service starts with a commissioned readers report. From there, I’ll not only asses the strengths and weaknesses of your screenplay I’ll also decide whether I can assist you in fixing any problems.
If I can, we’ll chat over my fee (I work quickly and to standard PACT contracts) and from there we’ll work together in getting your script in the best shape it can be for competitions, or the market for scripts in the UK or the USA.
I’ve worked on all sorts of script development jobs over the last few years and each one is different.
For example, I’ve read scripts that had a great central idea, but poor construction. I’ve helped to restructure these screenplays.
I’ve also developed new characters for screenplays, developed whole new plot strands. Done dialogue fixes and in some instances I’ve completed top to bottom rewrites for writers who needed extra help.
